It is with great sadness and sense of loss that we wish to inform you that our dear friend and fellow Green Door director Norman Kenny died yesterday, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and loved family.
We send our deepest condolences to his wife our Deirdre and to his children Ben, Tim, and Rebecca. Also to his mother Alice, his brothers Edward, Desmond, Robert, and sisters in law, extended family and friends.
Norman was an essential part in the setting up of the Green Door market. We will miss his incredible ability to turn his hands to any task, his wise way of looking at life and in particular his real sense of fairness.
Norman's funeral cortege will drive past the Green Door market at approximately 1.15 pm for 10 minutes, around this time we ask that all trading cease at the market. And that a representative from each stall gather out on the footpath 2 mtrs apart to bid farewell to Norman as the funeral passes by.
We will never see his like again.
Christy and Mary.
